hashid software package provides Identify the different types of hashes used to encrypt data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hashid
hashid is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hashid package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hashid *
You will get with hashid package name, version, architecture and description in a table
